Interview Questions

My new album will be released soon. Unfortunately I cannot tell you all the information I know about it just yet.

To keep you entertained in the meantime, here is part of a recent interview.

What is the first thing you noticed about Nathan? His flawless skin.

What was your favorite song to write? "Back For More".

What is your least favorite song to perform? "Full Moon Vibes". I love the song, but it does not translate well from album to arena.

What is the best place you visited while on tour? Graceland.

What is your dream vacation? A cruise around the world.

Do you want more children? Nathan and I wanted two from the beginning. Having the twins worked out nicely.

Do you believe in astrology and the zodiac? Not really. Nothing can be correct, 100% of the time.

What's your favorite food? Bourbon Chicken

Name your three favorite books. Right now, I am obsessed with the Alice Oseman universe: "Solitaire", "Radio Silence", and of course the "Heartstopper" series. I adore Nick and Charlie, and wish they were real.

I also love "Night's Bishop" by Catherine Stovall. She is my favorite author of all time and deserves to be on all the best-seller lists.

What has been the most romantic night of your life? When Nathan and I went to Rome the first time.

Do you regret becoming famous? Do you miss your privacy? Sometimes I think it would be nice to walk down the street with anonymity, but then I remember that I have fans who look up to me, and the music I make. I can't imagine my life being anything other than what it is.

Would you ever go to college? If so, what for? Probably not.

What is your biggest dream not yet achieved? To sing for the Queen of England.

If you could own any priceless item in the world, what would it be? The Hope Diamond.

What is your favorite memory of touring? Meeting all my wonderful fans. It never ceases to amaze me how much of an impact I've made on people.

What is your favorite social media platform? Tiktok.

Why do you think you became so successful? I've been told my lyrics are meaningful, and fans can relate.

What is your dream animal/favorite animal? A snowy owl.

Do you ever plan to stop making music? No. Being away from music while the twins were babies was one of the most difficult times of my life.

Are you worried people won't connect with your new music? I used to, but I write the music I like. People's taste in music changes over time, so I understand if fans lose that connection.

What have been some of the struggles within your relationship due to you being famous? Being thrust in the limelight is not easy. When I came out, Nathan's private life disappeared overnight. It hasn't been an easy life for either of us, but we push on.

If you could say anything to somebody trying to make it in this industry, what would you tell them? Be yourself, and remain true to your values.

When did you first recognize that you are gay? Was it something you always knew or was it more of a journey to figure out? I always knew.

How does it feel knowing so many people love you without really knowing you personally? Weird, but comforting. This incredible journey taught me that my words have meaning.

When did you know for sure you were famous? I fully realized it when President Carrington mentioned me in her annual Christmas speech, before my first album debuted.

Do you look at other celebrities differently being famous as compared to before? As a teenager, I didn't really pay much attention to the rest of the world. Sure, I knew names, that happens when you have favorite actors and musicians. After fame, I realized we're all still people. Fame is like living in a padded bubble that exists separately from the real world. Living in this world, I understand why some celebrities act the way they do. There is endless pressure to outdo yourself, forever.

Las Vegas, here we come!

Due to the pandemic, I never had the chance to return to the stage and perform for you. It's for the best, of course, but I miss singing in front of an audience.

That's all about to change, though.

Today, I signed a 3-year contract to perform in Las Vegas! We are still working out the dates.
